Interview Intermezzo: Joe Hisaishi

Not strictly a movie post, but only one step away is good enough for me. Joe Hisaishi has written the music for some of the most popular anime imports of the past decade including Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle and Ponyo. The interview is about the upcoming release of Ni No Kuni (Japanese Role-playing Game) on the PS3, so the subject isn't quite on topic but hearing his inspiration and method makes it suitable for this site.

Interview Intermezzo

Last Saturday (11/10) as I was driving to my in-laws, an interview with John Williams came on NPR. I thought it was very interesting. I thought the most interesting thing he said was that on a good day he finishes one-and-a-half to two minutes on a good day. I had no idea what his pace was, but with his experience and expertise I thought it would be faster (not judging, just saying). Anyway, here's the link: NPR. Enjoy!
